Noooooo

Well my holidays are officially over now :( Starting 6 weeks of general medicine from today onwards, then 2 massive exams to top it off! And I also had the pleasure of meeting Daylight Saving yesterday, which totally cut an hour off my sleep. Curse youuuu DST… Plus I never get used to the whole “bright until 9pm” thing for a couple months.

On the plus side, I finished my Scrubs marathon yesterday! Only took 3 weeks to marathon the 8 seasons, and it was an awesome 3 weeks :D It’s definitely making my top TV shows list. I loved the silly humour (totally my kind of humour), all the characters and how it portrays the life of new doctors. Apparently it’s one of the most accurate portrayals of medical life on TV? Plus the medicine was actually pretty good, I ended up learning quite a bit from it and it’s always fun when I get the diagnosis right before the characters hehe.

Other than that, I guess I had an awesome holiday (despite studying god-knows-how-many pages of medicine). I spent time at my parents’ place in Tokoroa, went to a 3-day LAN birthday party at my friends’ (Keddie’s) place, where we also went to Kelly Tarlton to see penguins (lol), sang 3 hours of karaoke with my friend (just the two of us), and lots of other fun things such as dinners and whatnot.

Well, let’s hope I enjoy gen med and I end up with a good team! People have been saying I’ll really enjoy it, so fingers crossed. Although I doubt it will beat emergency medicine :)

Ciao!

PS: The only thing about Scrubs that made me go “oh dear” was that the X-ray they use for the title screen is…backwards XD It was hilarious when they made a point about it one episode where a character corrects it!
